Every week I receive a real estate update from Trulia and this week features Julianne Moore and her swanky West Village townhouse. It is interesting, however, that the basic plan of the house feature great narrow spaces stacked. Typically this would be referred to as a row house but I am sure that the first row house in the neighborhood resembled a towerhouse. The towerhouse is the building block for real city making.
Julianne, I am sorry to hear you are getting rid of this house and can only hope that your next residence is as great as the one you are currently selling. I was pleased to see that even a super star such as your self was living in a towerhouse.
Check out the photos and plan.
Ummm, I think I have some advice for city planners all over the United States. COPY THIS MODEL THEN DUPLICATE. I think it could work. Anyone care enough to comment?
Massively wide compared to our Sheffield rowhouse. Shave 5' off the width and then you've got a challenge. Density you could reach with these in the US is pretty interesting....
ReplyDeleteps gotta change that theme...sharpie looking text is too hard for an old guy to read. :-)
